RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop WordPress websites, themes, and plugins to meet client requirements.
  • Customize existing WordPress themes and templates to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical recommendations.
  • Implement responsive web design principles to optimize websites for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Optimize website performance by conducting speed and security audits and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including debugging code and addressing browser compatibility issues.
  • Integrate third-party applications and APIs into WordPress websites such as payment gateways and social media platforms.
  • Conduct website maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and security enhancements.
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • Conduct quality assurance and testing to ensure websites are error-free and meet functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of visuals and functionality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users.
  • Document technical specifications, code, and project-related information for future reference.
  • Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work within prescribed deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous WordPress projects.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.
  • Solid understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
  • Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders and frameworks (e.g., Elementor, Divi, Bootstrap).
  • Knowledge of website optimization techniques, including caching, minification, and CDN integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
