RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and customize Shopify websites and themes to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experience across devices.
• Customize Shopify themes and templates using HTML, CSS, and Liquid.
• Integrate and configure third-party apps and APIs to enhance website functionality.
• Conduct website maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and security enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including debugging code and addressing compatibility problems.
• Optimize website performance by conducting speed and optimization audits and implementing necessary improvements.
• Conduct quality assurance and testing to ensure websites are error-free and meet functional requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in Shopify development.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of visuals and functionality.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users.
• Document technical specifications, code, and project-related information for future reference.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous Shopify projects.
• Proficiency in Shopify platform, including theme development and customization.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs and app development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Shopify certification or relevant professional certifications.
• Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced Shopify functionalities.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify websites.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for Shopify development.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles for effective e-commerce design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
